BEDFORD – Alongside the Ecology Action Centre and the Sackville River Association, join Save the Bedford Reef advocates and musicians this evening for a Free Outdoor Concert at DeWolf Park in Bedford, NS.  Tonights’ concert will showcase talented local musicians including Singer-Songwriter Dusty Keleher performing his new song “Mile of Ocean” with Amy Lounder and Jeff Harper.  The concert also features Cassie & Maggie MacDonald, and a traditional Irish band comprised of Seph Peters, Mark Currie, Glenn Coolen, Gordon Cameron and others.

Jennifer  Graham, Coastal Coordinator of the Ecology Action Centre and a representative of the Save the Bedford Reef, will address the crowd about why  the public should save the last natural portion of shoreline on the Bedford Basin, by creating a protected coastal park.

This is an all ages event, and free face painting for the children, so bring your kids out to support the environment.

Save the Bedford Reef wants to encourage the preservation of green space and show support for creating a Coastal Park in the area of the reef and Crosby Island.  The event is part of the Ecology Action Centre’s 40 days of Action to celebrate their 40th birthday.
