New York City’s High Line may soon be home to a unique piece of public art. The sculpture, entitled ‘Train’, is the work of Jeff Koons. Train would be a full-size replica of a 1943 Baldwin 2900 steam locomotive, suspended in the air above the raised public walking path. While the proposal still requires significant funding to make it a reality, it does offer an opportunity to highlight the park’s rail history. (New York Times)
