A new monstrous, three-level parking garage is making its home on the campus of Carleton University, with the possibility of adding three more storeys at a later date. Straddling the north end of the O-Train tracks which run through the campus, the garage is expected to help alleviate parking shortages at the largely commuter school, and possibly act as overflow parking for the neighbouring Lansdowne Park Redevelopment.

Currently showing a long, linear, and whitewashed exterior, the structure does little to blend into its slightly more leafy surroundings, but is claimed to be a step in a greenerĀ direction for the campus, by lessening the need for surface parking.

A rendering of the proposed design can be found on the Carleton website. The project is slated for completion in May 2014.
