WHAT: Human River Outdoor Screening
WHEN: Thursday, August 30th, 2007
WHERE: Trinity Bellwoods bowl

This coming Thursday, the Toronto Public Space Committee‘s Human River and Streets to Screens campaign is hosting an educational evening in the ravine where Garrison Creek once existed. Between 6:00 and 8:30 pm, participants will walk through the trees, create sculptures, and do crafts for the Human River Walk, all while learning about the creek and urban stormwater issues. Following this, there will be an outdoor screening at 8:30 pm of Thomas Riedelsheimer’s “Rivers and Tides,” a film about environmental sculptor Andy Goldsworthy.

So, bring a blanket and take advantage of this excellent opportunity to buff up on Toronto’s history and environment and mingle with your fellow city-dwellers.
