Each Monday, Spacing will bring you some of the popular posts from our sister blog, Spacing Montréal. We’ll keep an eye open for topics and discussions that are pertinent to current public space issues in Toronto.

• Contributor Cédric Sam recently came across a “Mobile” advertisement projected from a parked van onto a blank wall. The driver of the van admitted that advertising in this manner is a legal “grey area.”

• In a post about Crossing the street in Bangkok, contributor-at-large Christopher DeWolf found parallels between the busy Thai capital and Montréal, where “the only cars that ever stop at zebra crossings have Ontario licence plates.”

• Chris Erb’s latest Griffintown News Roundup includes updates and links on the latest public consultations, media coverage, and local efforts to better democratize Devimco’s controversial development plans for this Montréal neighbourhood. Look for more in-depth Griffintown coverage by Chris in the forthcoming issue of Spacing.

  1. I saw a video projection ad like that on the side of a building outside of Runnymede Station last summer too. I think it was an ad for a video game or movie.

Projection vehicle was parked in a No-Parking area.
