Regular users of the Skytrain might recognize this busker and his saxophone, jamming out regularly to the catchiest 60s and 70s hits on their way home from work. Did you know he served in the Armed Forces and got to play for Fats Domino and Little Richard?

Roland Callendar is our first installment in “Sidewalk Stories,” quick glimpses into the lives of street performers of Vancouver we see every day, but don’t normally get a chance to stop and talk to.

Check out Roland perform live in Vancouver, usually at the Burrard and Granville St. Skytrain stations. He’s also available to play and sing for weddings, parties, and private events!

Produced by GP Mendoza and Georgia Street Media.
