<\/a>HALIFAX<\/strong> – Spring has sprung, the town’s in full bloom and its time to head to the field \u2014 Bloomfield that is. \u00a0In fitting with this season of new \u00a0beginnings, the Imagine Bloomfield<\/a> society will be holding their Annual General Meeting this evening at the Bloomfield Centre.<\/p>\n

Birthed out of the need to maintain a community centre in the North End of Halifax that can serve the diverse needs of citizens,\u00a0Imagine\u00a0Bloomfield is a non-profit society working to preserve and enhance the Bloomfield Centre. \u00a0They imagine Bloomfield \u00a0as a dynamic, neighbourhood hub that includes space for arts, recreation, health, community services, commercial ventures and housing. \u00a0Their vision includes adaptive reuse of the existing buildings, with a focus on green building and renovations.<\/p>\n

Imagining Bloomfield is something that any and all members of the community are encouraged to do, why not start tonight?<\/p>\n

WHAT:<\/strong> Imagine Bloomfield Annual General Meeting
\nWHERE: <\/strong> Multi purpose room at the Bloomfield Centre, 2786 Agricola<\/a>
\nWHEN:<\/strong> Today – \u00a0Wednesday May 19, 6-9 pm
\nHOW MUCH:<\/strong> If you want to join the society it’s a 5$ membership free, if not, it’s free… just bring your two cents!<\/p>\n
