{"id":4643,"date":"2014-06-17T09:20:25","date_gmt":"2014-06-17T15:20:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spacing.ca\/edmonton\/?p=4643"},"modified":"2014-06-17T09:30:43","modified_gmt":"2014-06-17T15:30:43","slug":"blatchford-radio-documentary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/edmonton\/2014\/06\/17\/blatchford-radio-documentary\/","title":{"rendered":"Blatchford: A radio documentary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the recent changes to the plan for Blatchford, the new neighbourhood planned for Edmonton&#8217;s City Centre Airport lands, I thought it might be of some interest to share <a href=\"http:\/\/lanacuthbertson.wordpress.com\/portfolio\/major-research-project-feature-length-radio-documentary\/\" target=\"_blank\">a radio documentary<\/a> I completed two years ago on the redevelopment.<\/p>\n<p>The documentary covers the original plans for Blatchford (which was nameless back then), and compares it to Ottawa&#8217;s LeBreton Flats area, which is undergoing a similar redevelopment. It will provide some background and context on the original plans for the airport lands and might help shed some light on the latest changes to the plan.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s about half an hour long so it might be good for a road trip.
