In the second edition of this post, he elaborates on the exhibit&#8217;s theme of &#8220;informal urbanism,&#8221; looking at how suburban communities transform their space to accommodate their needs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/spacing.ca\/wire\/2008\/07\/15\/this-ain%e2%80%99t-the-st-lawrence-market\/\">This Ain&#8217;t the St. Lawrence Market<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Adam Chaleff-Freudenthaler takes a look at the history of the Queen Street market- an inconspicuous building on Queen Street West. Originally intended to be a destination market that would draw shoppers from all over town, this building ended up an agglomeration of fast-food stands serving people on their lunch break.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/spacing.ca\/wire\/2008\/07\/10\/frenemies-not-just-for-the-hills-anymore\/#more-3346\">The AGO&#8217;s Advertising<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Leah Sandals questions the motives behind the AGO&#8217;s passive aggressive advertising poster, in which shoppers are encouraged to visit a list of AGO competitors while the museum is closed for renovation. Is it meant to be a backhanded compliment or a self-congratulatory gesture?
