(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thisiscolossal.com\/2011\/12\/power-washed-street-art-by-strook\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+colossal+%28Colossal%29\">Colossal<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Officials in Flanders are taking a serious look at the role that bike couriers can play in reducing vehicle traffic and emissions. Recent studies of local bike courier firms highlight the additional flexibility and reliability of this mode of delivery. Moving forward, the Flemish government will evaluate which packages could be switched over to delivery by bike couriers. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dutchmobility.com\/737\/flanders-takes-the-bike-courier-seriously\/\">Dutch Mobility<\/a>)\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"More...\" src=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/toronto\/wp-includes\/js\/tinymce\/plugins\/wordpress\/img\/trans.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><!--more-->\u2022 Congratulations to Chicago for installing its first protected bike lane! The half mile stretch connects the Loop to existing bike lanes in the west. Early data suggests the lane is is working well, with bike ridership up 55% along the route. The lane is part of a larger bike plan for the windy city which will include 100 miles of protected bike lanes. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fastcoexist.com\/1678954\/chicagos-plans-to-become-the-next-great-american-biking-city\">Fast Company<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tGs_TyVEE5k\">GreatSpaces<\/a>\u00a0showcases the unique architecture of the NY400 Dutch Pavillion, a gift\u00a0from the Dutch\u00a0government to the people of New York.
