The discovery led to the creation of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.undermontreal.com\" target=\"_blank\">undermontreal.com<\/a>, which I used to document my experiences exploring this particular sewer\/creek and several others situated beneath the streets of Montreal. The Saint Pierre, once one of Montreal&#8217;s most important and prominent watercourses has essentially vanished from the visible urban landscape. Originally over 15 kms in length, today only a 225 meter-long section found within the confines of the <a href=\"http:\/\/lesamisdemeadowbrook.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Meadowbrook<\/a> golf course in Cote St Luc remain visible from above ground.<\/p>\n<p>This Saturday, Rivi\u00e8re St Pierre (and the sewers that now envelope it) will be the focus of a Nuit Blanche event occurring at two locations: <a href=\"http:\/\/dhc-art.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">DHC\/ART<\/a> and the organization&#8217;s new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.phi-centre.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\">PHI Centre<\/a>. Featuring my underground photography and videography, along with the work of sound artist, Samuel Thulin, &#8220;Lost Rivers: La Petite Rivi\u00e8re St Pierre&#8221; is a tribute of sorts to this river&#8217;s path, in both its past and present forms. Incorporating multiple projections, a multi-channel soundscape and an interactive mobile &#8220;audio walk&#8221;, the event is the first in a series of location-based exhibitions that will \u201cvirtually daylight\u201d select Montreal rivers in relation to our four seasons.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/montreal\/2012\/02\/24\/uncovering-riviere-st-pierre-during-nuit-blanche\/dhcmap-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-13349\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13349\" title=\"dhcmap\" src=\"http:\/\/spacing.ca\/network\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2012\/02\/dhcmap.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"614\" height=\"409\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/montreal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2012\/02\/dhcmap.jpg 614w, https:\/\/spacing.ca\/montreal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2012\/02\/dhcmap-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 614px) 100vw, 614px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For more details visit <a href=\"http:\/\/dhc-art.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">DHC\/ART&#8217;s website<\/a>.
