What future do we collectively hope for in this sector?  What do local residents have to say? The citizen forum will sum up the six thematic <a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/montreal\/2009\/01\/13\/mile-end-en-chantier-cafes-rencontres-sur-la-revitalisation-du-secteur-saint-viateur-est\/\"><em>caf\u00e9-rencontres<\/em><\/a> that took place this spring and invites citizens to participate in workshops about the redevelopment possibilities.<\/p>\n<p><em>Le secteur Maguire est en plein d\u00e9veloppement. Quel avenir souhaitons-nous collectivement pour ce secteur? Qu\u2019avons-nous \u00e0 dire? La promenade sera enregistrer et archiver enligne sur le <a href=\"http:\/\/cessa.music.concordia.ca\/soundmap\">site web<\/a> de la carte sonographique.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>QUAND<\/strong>: lundi, le 27 avril, 2009 @ 18h30<br \/>\n<strong>LIEU<\/strong>: Rencontre \u00e0 l&#8217;ext\u00e9rieur du m\u00e9tro Lionel-Groulx<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>29\/04 &#8211; Conf\u00e9rence URBA2015 &#8211; Dongtan, l&#8217;\u00e9co-cit\u00e9 chinoise <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dongtan is a Chinese eco-city planned for half a million inhabitants on the island of Chongming.\u00a0 The city is planned to have carbon neutral transport, self-sufficiency for energy and water, and ecological buildings. The British developer will present this project and discuss ways that cities like London and Montreal can benefit from this new development trend. Mark Watts is the London municipal councilor in charge of transportation, urban tolls, and the climate change action plan (in English).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: normal\" lang=\"FR-CA\"><em>Dongtan est une \u00e9co cit\u00e9 chinoise  planifi\u00e9e clef en mains pour 500\u00a0000 habitants, sur l\u2019\u00eele de Chongming.  Elle est un mod\u00e8le \u00e9cologique, avec 0 \u00e9mission de GES en provenance du  transport, une compl\u00e8te autosuffisance en eau et \u00e9nergie, des b\u00e2timents \u00e9co  \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques. Son concepteur, la firme anglaise ARUP, pr\u00e9sentera des projets  tels que Dongtan, en identifiant comment des villes comme Montr\u00e9al ou Londres  peuvent tirer partie de ces nouvelles fa\u00e7ons de se d\u00e9velopper.
