Elle sera renomm\u00e9e la Dominion Bridge trois ans plus tard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dans le but de se rapprocher des si\u00e8ges sociaux des principales compagnies ferroviaires canadiennes situ\u00e9s \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al et pour profiter de la proximit\u00e9 du canal et du fleuve, la Dominion Bridge opte pour construire son usine principale \u00e0 Lachine. Sans surprise, la conception et la construction des nouveaux b\u00e2timents sont assur\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019interne par les ing\u00e9nieurs et les ouvriers de l\u2019entreprise.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019expertise de ses travailleurs et de ses professionnels permet \u00e0 la Dominion Bridge d\u2019\u00eatre reconnue comme l\u2019une des plus importantes compagnies au pays dans son secteur d\u2019activit\u00e9. Par cons\u00e9quent, la production est orient\u00e9e selon les besoins militaires. L\u2019important savoir-faire dans la fabrication et l\u2019installation de structures en acier d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 au cours des d\u00e9cennies ne s\u2019est pas pour autant perdu \u00e0 la suite du rachat de l\u2019entreprise. Au contraire, le d\u00e9part d\u2019ouvriers et d\u2019ing\u00e9nieurs de la Dominion Bridge vers d\u2019autres entreprises montr\u00e9alaises, dont le Groupe ADF, a permis \u00e0 la r\u00e9gion de Montr\u00e9al de maintenir sa position en Am\u00e9rique du Nord de joueur important dans le domaine de la production et la conception de structures d\u2019acier.
