Vous devez leur demander :<br \/>\nPourquoi faut-il parler de la rentabilit\u00e9 d\u2019un projet de mobilit\u00e9 ?<\/p>\n<p><strong>La mobilit\u00e9 n\u2019a aucun prix.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Demandons-nous que nos rues soient rentables ?<br \/>\nDemandons-nous que nos h\u00f4pitaux soient rentables ?<br \/>\nDemandons-nous que nos \u00e9coles soient rentables ?<br \/>\nNos \u00e9gouts ? Nos parcs ? Nos trottoirs ?<\/p>\n<p>Cela d\u00e9pend de notre d\u00e9finition de l\u2019adjectif <em>\u00ab rentable \u00bb<\/em>. Parlons-nous de tous les r\u00e9sultats avantageux pour l\u2019\u00e9conomie, l\u2019environnement, et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 ? Ou bien parlons-nous strictement des r\u00e9sultats financiers ?<\/p>\n<p>Peut-\u00eatre n\u2019avons-nous pas soulev\u00e9 une question pr\u00e9cise. Les retomb\u00e9es \u00e9conomiques s\u2019av\u00e9reraient \u00e9normes. Les entreprises profiteraient de l\u2019emplacement de notre ville, \u00e0 un carrefour des march\u00e9s qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois, canadien, et am\u00e9ricain. Un TGV transformerait Montr\u00e9al \u00e0 l\u2019instar du fleuve Saint-Laurent et des chemins de fer.<\/p>\n<p><em>Imaginons :<\/em> qui connait quelqu\u2019un qui a d\u00fb quitter Montr\u00e9al parce que les meilleurs postes d\u2019emploi se trouvent ailleurs (notamment \u00e0 Toronto et New York) ? Un TGV mettrait fin \u00e0 ces histoires. Citons pour exemple la ville de Lille en France qui ne se trouve pas plus que 90 minutes des capitales fran\u00e7aise (Paris), britannique (Londres), et europ\u00e9enne (Bruxelles).<\/p>\n<p><em>Imaginons : <\/em>notre pays pourrait enfin accueillir le 20e si\u00e8cle. Il est hallucinant que le Japon ait un shinkansen depuis 1964 (un pays qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9duit en cendres par les Am\u00e9ricains 20 ans auparavant), la France depuis 1981 (un pays qui est paralys\u00e9 par des gr\u00e8ves tous les 4 mois). M\u00eame l\u2019Espagne et la Turquie ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 les premi\u00e8res phases de construction de leurs r\u00e9seaux de trains \u00e0 grande vitesse. N\u2019oublions pas que l\u2019Espagne \u00e9tait une dictature jusqu\u2019\u00e0 1975, et que la Turquie connaissait un coup d\u2019\u00e9tat militaire presque tous les dix ans !<\/p>\n<p>H\u00e9las !
