PechaKucha Montr\u00e9al et l\u2019arrondissement de Ville-Marie organiseront une soir\u00e9e de pr\u00e9sentations autour du pass\u00e9, du pr\u00e9sent et de l\u2019avenir du boulevard Saint-Laurent \u201d \u2013 de la rue Sherbrooke au boulevard Ren\u00e9-Levesque <\/em><\/p>\n

Jadis \u00e9picentre de la vie montr\u00e9alaise, le boulevard Saint-Laurent, entre les rues Sherbrooke et le boulevard Ren\u00e9-Levesque, est aujourd\u2019hui en qu\u00eate d\u2019une nouvelle identit\u00e9.<\/em><\/p>\n

Fronti\u00e8re imaginaire, patrimoine immat\u00e9riel, Est-West, red-light, prohibition, faune urbaine, nightlife, espaces vacants, topographie, architecture, d\u00e9veloppement immobilier, salles de spectacle, commerces, logements, parcs, skates, n\u00e9ons, sens unique, m\u00e9tro, h\u00e9ritage culturel, environnement sonore, enseignes, festivals, musique, touristes et hotdogs; autant de pistes de r\u00e9flexion qui peuvent mener \u00e0 la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de cette art\u00e8re mythique.<\/em><\/p>\n

Professeurs, architechtes, travestis, danseuses et encore plus ! Comprendre \u201cl\u2019esprit du lieu\u201d du boulevard Saint-Laurent pour b\u00e2tir son avenir. <\/em>Les pr\u00e9sentations auront le format PechaKucha (20 diapositives projet\u00e9es chacune durant 20 secondes). PechaKucha Montr\u00e9al in collaboration with the borough of Ville-Marie will host presentations on the past, present and future of the \u201cMain\u201d \u2013 from Sherbrooke Street to Ren\u00e9-Levesque Boulevard. <\/em><\/p>\n

In former times, the St. Laurent Boulevard between Sherbrooke and Ren\u00e9-Levesque was the epicentre of Montreal life. Now this stretch of the Boulevard is searching for a new identity.<\/em><\/p>\n

Imaginary frontier, intangible heritage, Est-West, red-light, prohibition, urban fauna, nightlife, vacant lots, topography, architecture, property development, concert halls, shops, housing, parks, skateboards, neon lights, one-way, metro, identities, cultural heritage, festivals, music, tourists and hotdogs; a few starting points to inspire your own (re-)definition of this mythical part of the city.<\/em><\/p>\n

University profs, architects, transvestites, burlesque dancers and more! The presentations will take the PechaKucha format (20 slides, each displayed 20 seconds). Come and be inspired!<\/em><\/p>\n
