Spacing intends to convert the metal structure into a &#8220;Public Space Interpretation Centre&#8221; that will house both permanent and rotating exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/spacing.ca\/wire\/2008\/03\/30\/ballenford-death-of-a-great-bookstore\/\"><strong>Ballenford Books closes<\/strong><\/a>: Toronto&#8217;s great -and only- architecture bookstore Ballenford announced that it will be closing after 29 years in business. People who have visited the bookstore will know how incredibly sad it is to see this institution go. Posted here is the letter from the owner asking for support and ideas on how to keep this or any future Toronto architecture bookstore alive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TTC strike looming<\/strong>: A number of posts were written on the looming transit strike which might be <a href=\"http:\/\/spacing.ca\/wire\/2008\/03\/28\/ttc-strike-date-pushed-back\/\">pushed back<\/a>. A <a href=\"http:\/\/spacing.ca\/wire\/2008\/03\/27\/poll-should-the-ttc-be-allowed-to-strike\/\">poll<\/a> asks whether the TTC should be allowed to strike at all. Meanwhile the City <a href=\"http:\/\/spacing.ca\/wire\/2008\/03\/29\/in-case-of-a-transit-strike-the-city-has-a-plan\/\">starts planning<\/a> for the upcoming chaos&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/spacing.ca\/wire\/2008\/03\/28\/lets-build-the-bathurst-bridge-toronto-deserves\/\"><strong>Bathurst Bridge to be rebuilt<\/strong><\/a>:  The City is planning to rebuild the Bathurst bridge (over the railway corridor and the area close to Fort York). The historical truss structure will be preserved while the north end of the bridge will undergo redesign.
