Momentum is growing but it must be  sustained. Montr\u00e9al Ouvert invites you to its 2nd public meeting next  Thursday (Nov. 25th), from 6-8pm, at L&#8217;Espace coop\u00e9ratif de travail  (ECTO). Come find out what&#8217;s been keeping the Montreal Ouvert team busy  and learn about what other stakeholders are up to. We&#8217;ll also have time  to network and discuss our next steps. So, if you&#8217;re working on open  data issues, reflecting about open data, or simply want to learn more  about it, you should be there. Excerpts will be read  from 24 novels and short story collections published since 2000.<\/p>\n<p>Ranging from Heather O\u2019Neill\u2019s poignant  debut novel Lullabies for Little Criminals to new work by Gail Scott,  David Homel, El&#8230;ise Moser and many others, these slices of new  fiction have been woven together to tell their own story: a city beset  by extreme weather, traumatized by but ultimately triumphing over  politics. Montreal in the new millennium has reinvented itself, with  help from the city\u2019s writers.<\/p>\n<p>Authors include: Claire Holden  Rothman, Nairne Holtz, Edward O. Phillips, Matthew Fox, Marianne  Ackerman, J.R. Carpenter, Elise Moser, Ami Sands Brodoff, Ann Charney,  Zoe Whittall, Peter Dub\u00e9, Rawi Hage, Claude Lalumi\u00e8re, Heather O\u2019Neill,  Louis Rastelli, Gina Roitman, Linda Leith, Gail Scott, Neil Smith, Lance  Blomgren, Glen Rotchin, Ibi Kaslik, John Brooke and Doug Harris.
