They launched the <a href=\"..\/2010\/11\/13\/cultural-corridor-to-channel-creative-energy-into-griffintown\/\">Griffintown  Cultural Corridor<\/a> during Nuit  Blanche 2010 with a big, public celebration that highlighted the neighbourhood&#8217;s rich historical setting along with artistic performances and presentations of alternative development visions.<\/p>\n<p>The South-West borough has been very supportive and this year&#8217;s edition of Nuit Blanche will be even more ambitious: the festivities will overflow onto Ottawa street, and many local organizations have been invited to participate. From the <a href=\"http:\/\/corridorculturel.co\/?page_id=515\">event&#8217;s press release<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Sample an array of  art, dance, live music, poetry, film, video, weaving, live painting,  workshops, lectures, theatre, exhibitions, walking tours, installations,  local cuisine, a scavenger hunt &amp; more.\u00a0\u00a0Visit the  awe-inspiring setting\u00a0<strong><em>New City Gas<\/em><\/strong>, a hidden treasure of  early industrial architecture, as well as a number of other outdoor and  indoor venues in the surrounding neighbourhood, including\u00a0<strong><em>Galerie  Hovig<\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0<strong><em>Interstice<\/em><\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong><em>Benedict Labre House<\/em><\/strong>,  the<strong><em> Darling Foundry<\/em><\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong><em>Griffintown  Horse Palace<\/em><\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong><em>Jardin de consultation et de  concertation<\/em><\/strong> and\u00a0<strong><em>Le Dalhousie<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Refreshments will be  available inside at the\u00a0<strong>Bombay One Day Caf\u00e9<\/strong> and the\u00a0<strong>Benedict  Labre House<\/strong> &amp; outside at\u00a0<strong>Boulangerie Rustique Sweet Lee\u2019s<\/strong> kiosk.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">WHEN:<\/span><\/strong> Saturday February 26 at 3  pm &#8211; Sunday, February 27, 4am.<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">WHERE<\/span>:<\/strong> 956 Ottawa Street, 141  Ann Street, 308 Young Street, 242 Young Street, etc (Square Victoria &amp;  Bonaventure metros, Bus 107 &amp; 61).<\/p>\n<p>I plan to be there all night &#8211; come and say hi!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Image: Nuit Blanche 2010 at the New City Gas Co complex by Tristan Brand.
