With the much ‘discussed’ construction of the Lansdowne Park Redevelopment project\u00a0creeping closer to its slated date of completion, I feel\u00a0it important to document the colourful, comical, and critical murals that have graced the constructions boards on the site’s most residential street frontage.<\/p>\n

The murals, which run the entire eastern length of Holmwood Avenue (a formerly undeveloped side of the street which\u00a0will soon be lined with town and terrace homes), have brightened what would otherwise have been a banal construction zone. This street art intervention by the community is\u00a0a bold\u00a0example of how to turn urban lemons into lemonade and plywood into protests.<\/p>\n
