Not only do they give them skills and experience, they produce some really good mini-documentaries on Regent Park &#8212; but they were hard to find. The great thing about the internet is suddenly distribution isn&#8217;t an issue.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll be featuring a few of their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/profile?user=RegentParkTV\">Regent Park TV<\/a> episodes over then next while. This well-done documentary here looks at the revitalization, and most importantly explores where the displaced residents have gone, and what they feel about having to move &#8212; something I know many people wonder about since the buildings were vacated last year. It&#8217;s interesting that, at least in this film, the people interviewed are not sad to leave the the decrepit Regent Park buildings, and they&#8217;re largely pleased with their new homes, but they do miss the community &#8212; the people &#8212; they lived with.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The folks at Regent Park Focus Youth Media Arts Centre have been around since 1989 as a not-for-profit organization that gets area kids involved in media production.
