The group follows a growing trend in public art, often refered to as &#8216;knit-bombing&#8217;. In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.banksy.co.uk\/\">Bansky<\/a>-inspired <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Banksy\">incognito<\/a>, the knitters donned festive floppy hats, hoods, and the odd ninja mask,\u00a0concealing their faces as they transformed the street, following the mandate of &#8220;perpetuating random acts of beauty&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The knitters are generating buzz for the arts festival, where more community knit projects will be taking place, including the creation of a participatory, evolving &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/junctionartsfest.com\/applications.html\">community car cosy<\/a>&#8221; curated by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wisedaughters.com\/pb\/wp_622f7a7a\/wp_622f7a7a.html\">Wise Daughters Craft Market<\/a>. The public will be invited to contribute their own 6- or 12-inch\u00a0yarn conconctions to a quilt which will cover a car donated by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.autoshare.com\/\">AutoShare<\/a>.
