Back in July I wrote about<\/a> a new Google map hack called Bikely:<\/p>\n

A website called Bikely<\/a> lets people use Google maps to plot out their favorite bike routes and share them with others. The safe routes, escape routes, direct and indirect routes people take on their bikes can now be followed, step by step, by the rest of us. When Google opened up their maps allowing people to use them for a bunch of different purposes like this, it may have been one of the greatest moments in the history of the Internet. Bikely mentions they are very young and\u00e2\u20ac\u009d need more than anything people like you to submit their favorite bike paths.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

At the time there were only a handful of Toronto bike routes up — now there are lots more. Click “Find” then search under Canada then Ontario (I found that just typing in “Toronto” get less Toronto routes — and most Ontario bike routes are in and around the GTA).<\/p>\n

Things like this take a while to catch on, so keep checking in, and add your own bike routes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
