According to the survey Torontonians see <a target=blank href=\"http:\/\/www.city.toronto.on.ca\/cleanandbeautiful\/pdf\/saabbackgrounder.pdf\">many opportunities for civic improvement (pdf)<\/a>, especially in the areas of the environment, transit, roads, architecture and the arts.<\/p>\n<p>The top three  categories for improvement were:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>    Environment (less waste, cleaner water and air etc.) &#8212; 25%<br \/>\n    Getting Around (transit accessibility, improved roads, bike facilities) &#8212; 17%<br \/>\n    City Appearance (architecture, street aesthetics) &#8212; 16% <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The survey was sponsored by the unlikely alliance of <a target=blank href=\"http:\/\/www.saabcanada.com\/ssi\/static\/english\/vehicles\/2005\/saab\/news\/events.html\">Saab Canada<\/a> and the <a target=blank href=\"http:\/\/www.tcf.ca\/index.html\">Toronto Community Foundation<\/a> &#8211; creator of the <a target=blank href=\"http:\/\/www.tcf.ca\/vital_signs\/vitalsigns2004\/index.html\">Toronto&#8217;s Vital Signs<\/a> annual report card.  <\/p>\n<p>Ironically no one voted for having a lot more cars in the City.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The final results of the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Think Outside the Box\u00e2\u20ac\u009d initiative&#8212;a month-long chance to vote for the top priority among a list of issues are in.
