It’s late notice, but tonight and tomorrow evening a new documentary on Toronto’s homeless count that occurred last year premeirs at the new Brunswick Theatre.<\/p>\n

On April 19, 2006, the City of Toronto set out to count its homeless. The action was propelled by right-wing councilors and media, combated by advocates, and ultimately marketed by city staff. This documentary film, produced between February 2006 and January 2007, integrates footage of the exercise with interviews with Toronto homeless advocates, media, city councillors, and city staff.<\/em><\/p>\n
