Sometimes the facts can be wrong, but it&#8217;s usually the wide generalizations writers make that I find amusing. In a recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.time.com\/time\/world\/article\/0,8599,1612085,00.html\">Time magazine&#8217;s article on Toronto&#8217;s island airport<\/a>, the lead paragraph describing the city states, &#8220;Once affordable middle-class neighborhoods such as family-friendly High Park and artsy Annex are suddenly seeing homes sold for as much as $900,000&#8230;&#8221; and that one of the reasons Torontonians hate raccoons is because they &#8220;treat TV antenna towers as a ladder.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, the article, titled &#8220;Why a Downtown Airline Isn&#8217;t Taking Off,&#8221; outlines the problems Porter Airlines faces: poor marketing (&#8220;The airline is elegant and upscale, so why go with a Disneyesque marketing approach?&#8221;), unpopular destinations (&#8220;If there is one thing I do not want as a Torontonian, it is a one-way ticket to Ottawa,&#8221; Time quotes <em>Toronto Star <\/em> columnist Joey Slinger), and low ticket sales (&#8220;there were never more than 15 passengers on the Porter flights I&#8217;ve taken &#8212; the airline&#8217;s  Bombardier Q400 jets seat 70.
