For now, organizers are soliciting input for any kind of ideas.<\/p>\n<p>Guilllame St-Jean uses the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/montreal\/2011\/06\/09\/montage-du-jour-lautoroute-ville-marie-depuis-le-pont-jacques-cartier-11-de-11\/\">Montage du Jour<\/a> <\/em>series to show a striking effect of road widening between 1979 and today.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"so\" src=\"http:\/\/spacing.ca\/media\/identity\/sidebar-head-ottawa.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"44\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Clive Doucet followed up on his previous insights on public <a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/ottawa\/2011\/06\/07\/doucet-turkish-transit-part-2-moving-people-versus-fixing-the-transitway\/\">transit in Turkey<\/a> by examining the essential role that transit plays in other parts of the world and the lessons that Canada could learn in terms of thinking about moving people as opposed to advancing marquee projects and truly making the most out of capital investment.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the <em>Clickshift <\/em>series, Kathryn Hunt reflects on her own surprise about how quickly Bixi has <a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/ottawa\/2011\/06\/02\/bixi-surprises\/\">been taken up<\/a> by the City.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"sa\" src=\"http:\/\/spacing.ca\/media\/identity\/sidebar-head-atlantic.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"44\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Matt Neville reports on the formation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/atlantic\/2011\/06\/07\/new-hrm-alliance-talks-sprawl\/\">&#8216;Our HRM Alliance&#8217; <\/a>as a follow up to early proposals to establish a greenbelt and tackle sprawl in Greater Halifax.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"st\" src=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/ottawa\/media\/identity\/sidebar-head-toronto.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"44\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Spacing played host to an interesting debate this week past week that drew the attention of CBC Radio&#8217;s Metro Morning.
