If you attended the Toronto the Good party last year at Fort York you likely saw the Soft City<\/a> exhibit on the second floor of one of the white block houses — and maybe saw the mayor holding city hall in his lap. If you like to sew, and you like the city, here’s a chance to participate:<\/p>\n

The Soft City is looking for volunteers to facilitate workshops at the CNE from August 17 – 24.<\/em>If you or someone you know is interested in working along side an amazing bunch of people and interested in meeting art\/design professionals from places like the AGO and the Design Exchange then this is a real opportunity for you or someone you may know. You’ll also receive free admission to the EX!<\/em><\/p>\n

The Soft City is an ongoing plush and felt city that is made by both children and the imaginative. It has been exhibited at the Power Plant, Fort York, The Gladstone Hotel, as part of Doors Open, and in the fall will be at Toronto City Hall. This year we are exhibiting the work at the CNE, in a partnership with the Design exchange and the Art Gallery of Ontario, where we will be running child and family focused workshops. The public will have the opportunity to contribute to our ever-growing city. The entire city will also be exhibited.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
