Nearly 200 years has passed since the death of Sir Isaac Brock, the <\/em>“saviour of Upper Canada” (Ontario). By seizing the initiative once the USA declared war and by earning the trust of the great \u00a0native leader Tecumseh, Brock helped ensure that Ontario did not become just one more state in \u00a0the United States and he helped galvanize a sense of shared identity among new Canadians.<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/em><\/p>\n
