The Toronto Society of Architects has organized a panel discussion inspired by book Concrete Toronto<\/a> released in November. The panel will be a broad and fun talk about the book, different approaches to concrete, the perception of the public vs. the perception of architects and also about tower renewal<\/a>: making Toronto’s many high-rises green. If you’re one of the people who dislike Robarts library<\/a>, you can explain why to people who love it.<\/p>\n

Everyone is welcome. In the book, Adrian Blackwell wrote about Richard Serra’s “Shift<\/a>” sculpture, constructed in a field near King City in 1970. Last week an article in the Toronto Star<\/a> suggested there is some urgency in designating the sculpture historic, as the march of GTA subdivisions continues and may be heading for Shift.<\/p>\n
