WHAT: Toronto Conservation Action Network community fairs

Going green just got a whole lot easier, thanks to the newly formed Toronto Conservation Action Network — an informal network of groups and businesses that are helping people live greener.<\/p>\n

The network is organizing a series of community fairs across Toronto to help connect people with the organizations and companies that can help them live better through conservation. The fairs use a speed-presentation format, which means people can hear between five and seven short pitches within an hour. Participants will receive a list of presenters and they will be able to choose the presentations they want to hear.<\/p>\n

WHAT: Metronauts Transit Camp unconference

Don’t miss the first of several Metronauts Transit Camp events to re-imagine the future of transportation in the region with the opportunity to offer sustainable solutions. This event is an unconference, where every participant will have the opportunity to suggest topics for discussion and share their knowledge and experiences with the group.<\/p>\n

WHAT: Toronto Walking Strategy Open House meeting
\nWHEN: Thursday, April 3, 6pm to 8:30pm
\nWHERE: North York Memorial Hall (5110 Yonge Street)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The City of Toronto is in the process of developing a Walking Strategy, which will include visionary policy, infrastructure, and programming to create a rich culture of walking in Toronto. They want to hear your comments about how we can make our communities more walkable. Three open houses have been planned to present the highlights of the Strategy and gather your input. The second one happens Thursday, April 3 at 6pm in the North York Memorial Hall.<\/p>\n
