\"\"<\/a>The editors of Spacing really want to try lawn bowling this summer and we’ve quickly come to realize that many of our followers on Facebook<\/a> and Twitter<\/a> are curious about this quaint sport. So, we’ve created the Royal Spacing Lawn Bowling Society of Toronto. And we have a logo.<\/p>\n

As the Toronto Star<\/em> reported back in June<\/a>, lawn bowling clubs across the city (except for the Beaches’ clubs) are suffering as their participants enter their golden years.<\/p>\n

Spacing has teamed up with the West Toronto Lawn Bowling Club (on Keele at Humberside<\/a>, just north of Bloor) to offer two nights of lawn bowling shenanigans. The WTLBC will have veteran club members give lessons on rules, scoring, and throwing techniques. All that is required is from participants is flat-soled shoes (runners, sandals, even Crocs if that’s your thing). And if possible, dress in all-white<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There are two evenings available for people to take part: Wednesday, August 8th<\/strong> and\u00a0Wednesday, August 15th<\/strong>. Participation will cost $15 per person and each night is limited to 20 people. The event will start at 7pm and go as late as the club will allow us. Tea will be served at the end of the evening.<\/p>\n

In order to take part you have to buy tickets through our eStore<\/a>. An e-ticket will be sent to you from Spacing staff once your order is processed.<\/p>\n
