With ferry cutbacks to an already dreadful service, we waited till the sun started to set and the crowds and often-angry lines cleared. We also decided to ride over to Wards because it&#8217;s a nice dusk ride and to avoid the possibility of the ferry doing what it mercurially often does: heading back to the Hanlan&#8217;s dock from Wards unexpectedly. We figured we&#8217;d at least get on it first in case of crowding.
