Charmed by how the stump was lovingly reclaimed, Tjia decided to <a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/montreal\/2008\/07\/24\/treestump-garden\/\">snap some pictures and share his find<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&bull;  The trailer for Luc Bourdon&#8217;s new film, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.onf.ca\/collection\/films\/fiche\/?id=54802\"><em>La m&eacute;moire des anges<\/em><\/a>, about life in Montr&eacute;al during the 1950s and 1960s, provokes feelings of nostalgia as the trailer flashes images of an era when <a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/montreal\/2008\/07\/23\/montreal-in-the-1950s-and-60s\/\">Montr&eacute;al was self-assured and brash<\/a>, a time that ended when the city entered a many decades long identity crisis.<\/p>\n<p>&bull;   <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada.com\/montrealgazette\/index.html\">The Gazette<\/a> has launched a new weekly column called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada.com\/montrealgazette\/news\/story.html?id=cd9204f7-4e33-48d3-bed1-70b4c243d319\">Squeaky Wheels<\/a>.  The column asks readers to send in questions about how the city&#8217;s transit agency, the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.stm.info\/\"> STM<\/a>, operates, and then has someone from the STM write a response.
