\nWHEN: Saturday October 25, 11am – 5pm
\nWHERE: Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen Street W), 2nd floor<\/strong><\/p>\n

The third annual YIMBY festival is this weekend and is a great chance to meet with community groups, politicians and like-minded citizens to discuss issues in your neighborhood. There is already a huge list of groups who will be participating in the event and there will even be a bike-valet service provided by the Toronto Cyclist Union.<\/p>\n

If you’re part of a group that would like to participate, you have until 11am on Saturday to register, contact magda@gladstonehotel.com to sign up.<\/p>\n

A new exhibit at the City of Toronto Archives, An Infectious Idea documents over a century of public health related issues within the city through photography and log books.<\/p>\n

Hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

WHAT: Book Launch, HTO: Toronto’s water from Lake Iroquois, to Lost Rivers, to Low-flow Toilets
\nWHEN: Sunday, November 9, 2pm – 6pm
\nWHERE: The Blue Barracks, Fort York<\/strong><\/p>\n

HTO: Toronto’s water from Lake Iroquois, to Lost Rivers, to Low-flow Toilets is a new book looking at the history of water in Toronto and what will change in the near future.<\/p>\n

The book launch is at Fort York, which happens to sit on the site of long-lost Garrison Creek, and will feature Spacing<\/em>‘s Matthew Blackett moderating a panel discussion with HTO contributors about the future of water in Toronto.<\/p>\n

After the discussion, guests have a chance to take a tour of the Fort in relation to Garrison Creek and the old Lakeshore.<\/p>\n
