One of them was the Toronto Star&#8217;s entertainment columnist Antonia Zerbisias, who took a break from her usual topics to write a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestar.com\/article\/551135\">nice summary of the problem<\/a> in today&#8217;s paper. Among other things, she points out how damaging the alternative &#8212; lots of salt &#8212; is to the environment of a city that is in the midst of implementing a &#8220;green agenda&#8221;. After the flak the city took last year, it promised to improve its sidewalk clearance this winter.
