We&#8217;ll keep an eye open for topics and discussions that are pertinent to current public space issues in Toronto.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&bull;As a downtown bus that mirrors Metro routes and travels through sparsely populated neighbourhoods, the 515 route in Montr&eacute;al <a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/montreal\/2008\/12\/20\/the-inevitable-failure-of-the-515\/\">has not been living up to it&#8217;s expected potential<\/a>. Since this route is a pilot project for a possible tramway, how will the bus&#8217;s failure affect the possibility of the new, tourist-friendly tram?<\/p>\n<p>&bull; Though it may bring back some unpleasent memories of the storm that hit Toronto hard last Friday, Spacing Montr&eacute;al&#8217;s C&eacute;dric Sam shared some photos of how it looked <a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/montreal\/2008\/12\/21\/a-walk-in-the-snow\/\">over there<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&bull; Those of you who celebrated solstice last night (and perhaps even those of you saying &#8220;whaddya mean &#8216;solstice&#8217;?&#8221;) might find <a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/montreal\/2008\/12\/18\/tree-tuesday-back-to-yggdrasil-sacred-tree-of-the-solstice-season\/\">last week&#8217;s Tree Tuesday post<\/a> especially interesting as Bronwyn Chester talks about the <em>Yggdrasill<\/em>, better known as the Ash tree, the Norse symbol of the winter solstice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: italic\">photo by C&eacute;dric Sam<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each Monday, we bring you some of the popular posts from our sister blog, Spacing Montr&eacute;al.
