Spacing has teamed up with ERA Architects and the Detroit Creative Corridor Centre to bring you a series of dynamic urbanism tours over a weekend that will open your eyes to all of the positive changes that are under way.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Detroit Urbanism Road Trip tours* will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>BIKE TOUR<\/strong>: A ride through the neighbourhoods of Lafayette Park, Eastern Market, Brush Park, Cultural District, Wayne State, Midtown (among others).<\/li>\n<li><strong>ARCHITECTURE TOUR<\/strong>: A walking tour through downtown focused on skyscrapers, parks, and urban design.<\/li>\n<li><strong>HEIDELBERG PROJECT<\/strong>: A private tour of the amazing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heidelberg.org\/\">Heidelberg Project<\/a> and a talk with the artist Tyree Guyton.<\/li>\n<li><strong>URBAN FARM TOUR<\/strong>: A look at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cskdetroit.org\/index.php\/EWG#\">Earthworks<\/a>, a social justice and community farming project run by the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, a human service organization inspired by the spirit of St. Francis and sponsored by the Capuchins of the Province of St. Joseph.<\/li>\n<li><strong>INNOVATION TOUR<\/strong>: An up-close and personal tour of the Detroit Creative Corridor Center\/Taubman Center for Design Education<\/li>\n<li><strong>BUS TOUR<\/strong>: A ride out to the neighbourhoods of\u00a0Belle Isle, Indian Village, Grosse Pointe (among others) for a short walking tour.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The cost of a ticket includes chartered bus, bike rental, tour guides, bridge and road tolls. Hotel room and meals are a separate cost (see below).<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEPARTURE:<\/strong><br \/>\n<em><strong>We will board the bus on Saturday September 28th at 8am and arrive in Detroit at 1pm.<\/strong><\/em> The exact location of the Toronto departure will be determined in the coming weeks (we will do our best to make it a downtown location near a subway station). We will notify all ticket purchasers of the location by email.
