It&#8217;s an issue that has also been\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/spacing.ca\/toronto\/?p=653\">discussed by Spacing&#8217;s own Dale Duncan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The community is attempting to head off the kind of random, thoughtless high-rise development that is currently taking place all over the city\u00a0&#8212; and is also trying to\u00a0avoid the trap\u00a0of being cornered into simply opposing the developments (which is inevitably followed by accusations of &#8220;NiIMBYism&#8221;) &#8212;\u00a0by offering a positive alternative.
