Today a glossy brochure called “The School Paper — the official Schoolhouse Community Newletter”, complete with fancy red apple on the front, came through our mail slot. It’s for the School House Lofts<\/a> located in “the fabulous Annex neighbourhood with endless numbers of galleries, theatres and museums…the TTC is just steps away, as is world-class shopping and gourmet dining. This is the Annex in lower Forest Hill — smart, exclusive, sophisticated.” It is always good fun to see how real estate people shift neighbourhood boundaries (I always thought of the Annex as East Swansea), but this is a Brad Lamb project, famous for those ubiquitous Brad Lamb-headed lamb-body ads seen around town, so one expects even more creativity. So creative in fact that if you go here<\/a> (it’s a Flashtastic website, so beware) and click on “the area” you will see a picture of the TTC station closest to 391 Brunswick — and it appears to be the Canal Street<\/a> station (reversed, though). Is the Annex also considered Northwest SoHo? If so, I’m paying very cheap rent for Manhattan, and it’s about time the MTA<\/a> and TTC finally linked up.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
