•\u00a0 In last week’s Tree Tuesday <\/em><\/a>Bronwyn Chester<\/a> examines the many uses of the Amur cork tree, “the cork tree with lemon scent” that grows in Montreal’s Parc La Fontaine, as well as on Mount Royal.<\/p>\n

•\u00a0 Spacing Montreal looks back at one of the city’s most influential mayors, Jean Drapeau<\/a> ( 1954-57 and 1960-86) in an interesting post about his achievements, faults and contested legacy.<\/p>\n

• Montrealers cheer as the iconic Guaranteed Pure Milk bottle is revealed<\/a> after it was saved from destruction and restored. The bottle, a 10-meter tall steel water tank shaped like a quart of milk<\/a>, sits atop the old Guaranteed Pure Milk dairy plant built in the 1930s.<\/p>\n
