Councillor Janet Davis proposed and passed an amendment that any councillor who wished the bins removed could request it. So it is up to you to <a href=\"http:\/\/app.toronto.ca\/wards\/jsp\/wards.jsp\">contact your city councillor<\/a> and ask that they have them replaced with real garbage bins.<\/p>\n<p>Thank your friendly neighbourhood <a href=\"http:\/\/publicspace.ca\">Toronto Public Space Committee<\/a> for making the public aware of this monstrosity and fighting this horrible idea right to the end.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, it became official: the mega-bins are dead.
