The first-ever fun run and walk around Deer Lake<\/a> is going to be happening tomorrow, so keep an eye out for a lot of runners and walkers!<\/p>\n

After a year of hearing from farmers, foresters, environmental organizations and others, the B.C. Liberal majority has recommended against a province-wide ban on cosmetic pesticide use<\/a>.<\/p>\n

B.C. mayors are asking for a new deal with senior governments to address the growing financial squeeze on their cities, although apparently it’s not necessarily for more money<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Great news for motorists as new road signs have been installed<\/a> to allow drivers to choose their routes more efficiently along the Highway 99 and Highway 91 corridors linking Vancouver with south Surrey, Delta, and the Canada-U.S. border.<\/p>\n

In direct response to a flurry of activism, Victoria city council unanimously decided to invest funds to reopen The 250-metre Chandler-Gonzales pathway<\/a> that connects Pemberton Park with Chandler Street. It has been closed to pedestrians since the mid 1970s.<\/p>\n
