The first installment of the Hastings Park Master Plan<\/strong><\/em> will be presented to City Council for final approval next week. The Connection to New Brighton Park will provide safe pedestrian and bicycle connections between the Trans Canada Trail and New Brighton as well as tie into the overall greenway system of Hastings Park. In addition, this connection will become an ecological corridor including a daylighted stream with rich and diverse plant communities to encourage birds, amphibians and butterflies to make it their home.<\/p>\n
