For those who have somehow manage to avoid being affected by mass media exposure, the first SkyTrain faregate was installed<\/a> earlier this week at Marine Drive Station in Vancouver as a part of the strategy to reduce fare evasion and increase security on Metro Vancouver’s transit system.<\/p>\n

A wonderful event for heritage rail enthusiasts as two interurban electric rail cars<\/a> were hoisted by crane on Wednesday into their new home – a car barn recently built by the Fraser Valley Heritage Rail Society on 176 St. south of Hwy. 10 in Surrey.<\/p>\n

An interesting (and successful) initiative by the B.C. municipality of Pemberton to actually read public notices by dramatically redesigning <\/a>it so that residents can more easily understand them, and respond. Something worth emulating, to my mind.<\/p>\n

Great news for BC Transit as the Independent Review Panel gave it positive scores<\/a> and reaffirms BC Transit\u2019s commitment to providing efficient and effective services for our customers and taxpayers across the province.<\/p>\n

In Surrey, dog owners aren’t over happy about its recent dog ban<\/a> in several parks across the city.<\/p>\n
