Part 2: RESCALE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cities are the leading edge of developing and implementing transformative social change.\u00a0 Vancouver is a key example of this, and as it continues to grow and innovate, its leadership has influenced and affected the scale and realm of possibility.\u00a0 John and Sadhu will present insights from their past and ongoing projects, and offer their thoughts on this second “R” in the Built City lecture series.<\/p>\n

SPEAKERS:<\/p>\n

John Robinson<\/em><\/strong> is the Executive Director of The University of British Columbia Sustainability Initiative and a professor with UBC\u2019s Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability and the Department of Geography. John was a report co-author and member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, awarded the Nobel Prize with Al Gore in 2007.<\/p>\n

As Deputy City Manager,\u00a0Sadhu Johnson<\/em><\/strong> contributes to the overall management of the City of Vancouver.\u00a0 Sadhu oversees the environmental and emergency development areas within the City Manager\u2019s Office.\u00a0 Prior to moving to Vancouver, Sadhu served as Mayor Richard M. Daley\u2019s Chief Environmental Officer where he was responsible for the development and implementation of the Chicago Climate Change Action Plan, which Scientific American referred to it as one of the world\u2019s most comprehensive municipal climate plans.<\/p>\n
