In that way, the municipality won\u2019t be as dependent on residential taxes to pay its bills.<\/p>\n<p>With tall houses squashing views and high rents squeezing tenants, the District of <strong>West Vancouver<\/strong> voted in favour of a <a title=\"West Vancouver council OKs housing action plan\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nsnews.com\/news\/West%20Vancouver%20council%20housing%20action%20plan\/8136622\/story.html#ixzz2OIyfqFqR\" target=\"_blank\">plan to shape the future of housing in the municipality<\/a> at a council meeting Monday. [But] the housing action plan, which places an emphasis on coach houses, housing diversity and purpose-built rental apartments, may be too restrictive, according to Coun.
