With 7,000 square feet spread over two floors, Cap&#8217;s Westwood Cycles is Glen Hobbis&#8217; fourth location.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abbotsford<\/strong> will have to <a title=\"City will have to defend harm reduction bylaw to human rights tribunal\" href=\"http:\/\/www.abbynews.com\/news\/216174191.html\">defend its harm reduction bylaw to the B.C. Human Rights tribunal<\/a>.\u00a0The complaint was filed in May at the same time\u00a0a civil suit was filed against the city, both aiming to repeal the city&#8217;s legislation restricting harm reduction measures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Metro Vancouver<\/strong> has reluctantly <a title=\"Metro Vancouver compromises on new recycling policy\" href=\"http:\/\/www.surreyleader.com\/news\/216170241.html\">agreed to let new mechanized garbage-sorting plants<\/a> open and extract more recyclables from the waste stream that are now landfilled or incinerated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Victoria<\/strong>&#8216;s\u00a0Bay Centre \u00a0unveiled <a title=\"Victoria's Bay Centre unveils electric car chargers in parkade\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vicnews.com\/business\/214302681.html\">four new electric vehicle charging stations<\/a> in the shopping mall&#8217;s lower parkade.\u00a0The charging stations were created with help from the BC&#8217;s Community Charging Infrastructure Fund. The fund is expected to help in the funding and creation of 570 charging stations across the province.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kilby Historic Site<\/strong> is a local, historic treasure. And to keep the site healthy into the future, the operators are beginning the process of <a title=\"Sustainability plan being developed for Kilby\" href=\"http:\/\/www.agassizharrisonobserver.com\/business\/215707861.html\">preparing a site business plan and feasibility study<\/a> with the Quincy Group Company.\u00a0Funding for this program is coming from the BC Heritage Branch, who are also contributing to other provincial heritage sites around B.C.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A weekly roundup of noteworthy news in municipalities across B.C.
