Instead, the issue is with <a title=\"Pay parking opposed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.princegeorgecitizen.com\/article\/20130829\/PRINCEGEORGE0101\/308299987\/-1\/princegeorge0101\/pay-parking-opposed\">enforcement of current parking rule<\/a>s.&nbsp;Prince George Chamber of Commerce president Derek Dougherty said it&#8217;s a fallacy that those abusing the system will pay and that real change can be made by adjusting bylaws.<\/p>\n<p>[<strong>Williams Lake<\/strong>]&nbsp;City council voted this week to receive a report from the senior bylaw officer that<a title=\"Good neighbour city bylaw considered\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wltribune.com\/news\/221561961.html\"> introduces the concept of a \u201cgood neighbour\u201d bylaw<\/a>, and referred it to the planning and operations committee for further review.&nbsp;The purpose of the report is to consolidate and update many of the city\u2019s current bylaws that deal with residential property issues.<\/p>\n<p>Facing a backlash from disability advocates, <strong>Sidney<\/strong> Mayor Larry Cross moved Tuesday to clarify his town\u2019s <a title=\"Mayor says his goal is to set \u2018rules of road\u2019 for scooters\" href=\"http:\/\/www.timescolonist.com\/news\/world\/mayor-says-his-goal-is-to-set-rules-of-road-for-scooters-1.603816\">proposal to regulate the use of mobility scooters<\/a>.&nbsp;Cross said it was never Sidney council\u2019s intention to deny people their right to mobility, but rather to protect the safety of everyone \u2014 pedestrians, motorists and scooter operators.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.myproscooter.com\">MyProScooter<\/a> also recently published a post regarding the situation since they are one of the strong online communities that uphold the value of safety and eco-friendly technologies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A weekly roundup of noteworthy news in municipalities across B.C.
