Looking at the world through rose-coloured glasses may smooth over the rough spots but in a city that isn\u2019t working well for women and girls that isn\u2019t good enough. Hot pink spectacles, on the other hand, may be just the thing that galvanizes action to stop gendered violence, close the wage gap, and\u00a0create change\u00a0with Aboriginal women and girls\u00a0this municipal election.<\/p>\n

The 21st<\/sup> in the series of dialogue caf\u00e9s<\/strong> presented by Women<\/strong> Transforming Cities<\/strong><\/a> (WTC) will shed light on why city policy needs to be developed and evaluated using a gender\/equity lens \u2014 instead of turning a blind eye to the very specific and different needs of the diverse array of Vancouver residents\u00a0\u2013 and will feature the Hot Pink Paper Campaign<\/strong><\/a>, detailing 11 key issues that women and girls want addressed by all parties and all candidates in the 2014 municipal elections.<\/p>\n
