This Saturday, the Vancouver Heritage Foundation<\/a> is asking Vancouverites to stop judging these\u00a0houses by their exteriors and inviting you inside!\u00a0During\u00a0the 3rd Annual Vancouver Special Tour you will be able to visit 5 east side Vancouver Specials and\u00a0learn how their visionary owners have reno’ed and updated \u00a0this\u00a0ubiquitous\u00a0housing style. A highlight\u00a0of this year’s tour is a unique architect designed Joe Wai “Special” in Strathcona.<\/p>\n

Whether\u00a0you are a lover of this misunderstood housing for, or a\u00a0hater\u00a0who thinks that they arwe a blight on our beautificl city, this tour will\u00a0change\u00a0your understanding of Vancouver\u00a0Specials\u2014if not you attitude towards them.<\/p>\n

Date: <\/strong>Saturday, September 24th<\/sup>2011
\nTime:<\/strong> 12 \u2013 5pm
\nCost:<\/strong> $28 +hst. (all proceeds go to the Vancouver\u00a0Heritage\u00a0Foundation)
\nTickets:<\/strong> Can be picked up at the VHF office, 402-510 West Hastings, and on the day of the tour at the VHF booth located at Garden Park, 2200 E. 3rd<\/sup> and Templeton (map<\/a>).\u00a0Day-of ticket sales<\/strong> will be available while tickets last <\/em>at the Info Booth.<\/p>\n
